Florida Hospital Receives Critical Care Nursing Grant
The grant will be set up to establish a critical care nursing distance learning program at Florida Hospital.

This program will be available for all 17 Adventist Health System hospitals across nine counties in Florida over a three-year period. The learning program, RN Critical Care Residency for Urban and Rural Hospitals, will deliver standardized adult critical care education and training online to nurses at any of the 17 Adventist Health System hospitals in Florida who want to specialize in critical care.

Expected to be completed in late 2008, Florida Hospital Orlando’s new 15-story patient tower will house one of the largest Emergency Departments and one of the largest cardiac catherization labs in the country. The new patient tower will create a total healing atmosphere that reduces stress, replenishes the spirit and is visually appealing.

Florida Hospital Celebration Health Announces Explantion Plans
The long-term master plan for Florida Hospital Celebration Health includes a total of two new patient towers. If funding is secured, work could start on one of the new patient towers as early as next year. That patient tower would be approximately 120,000-square-feet and would include 120 patient beds at an estimated cost of $125 million.
