Florida Hospital Continuing Education for Nurses

Florida Hospital is a leader in nurse training and education in addition to patient care and services. Florida Hospital offers several nursing internship / transition training programs designed to assist experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) wishing to enter into new nursing specialties. These nurse training programs are designed to offer the
experienced registered nurse the in-depth education, practical knowledge and preceptor clinical experience needed to enter into a new specialty area.

General Nursing Orientation

Our general nursing orientation is offered approximately every other week for new hires. This orientation is designed for experienced nurses with current practice in the specialization of their new unit. This orientation provides an introduction to our computer documentation system and enhanced nursing practice. The orientation also includes clinicals with a preceptor on the new unit. The length of the general nursing orientation is typically 2-3 weeks.
